Located in Wufeng Township, Hsinchu County, the R’uzyan Tribe is a protected by the Ancestral Eye. Combining the Atayal culture and modern luxury glimping, you can immerse in the experiencing the uniqueness of the local culture and customs in this one-night-and-two-meals accommodation experience!

The beauty of the clouds surrounding the peaks

The undulating clouds are like the sea, reflecting the color of sky, sometimes blue, sometimes gray, sometimes gentle and smooth, sometimes windy and cloudy. A great view depending on the weather that can not be asked for.

A touch of pink snowflakes in the blue

The pink Fuji cherry blossoms freely blooming in spring, and as soon as you step out of the tent in from The Harvest Land, you are surrounded by pink snowflakes! With the change of seasons from spring to summer, you can find the fireflies on the camp site, and you can also enjoy the blooming of hydrangea. In summer, come and join a fun beetle observing tour.

As dusk settles over the Wufeng mountains, the mist drifts quietly through the valleys, and tiny lights begin to flicker in the shadows. Fireflies take to the air, their golden glows shimmering like a flowing galaxy across the meadows.

Every May, this hidden valley transforms into one of Taiwan’s most magical sights—a river of fireflies.
Millions of glowing wings fill the night, creating a rare, seasonal phenomenon known as the Firefly River.

The land owner’s ancestors pioneered this area when they first arrived here. In the morning, if you are lucky, you can see a sea of clouds surrounding the area and at night you can see the starry sky. In spring, the tent are surrounded by cherry trees, and pink cherry blossoms sway in the wind and fly in the the mountains.

A small cabin on the hill looks out over the mountains, with the crimson sunset every evening, coloring the clouds into beautiful colors of gold, orange and purple.

The valley is surrounded by tall and straight cedar trees, which are like a natural blinds, makes it quiet and peaceful. At night, with the starlight falling on you, you can quietly enjoy the shadows of the trees dancing with the wind.

After a relaxt afternoon, the evening meal at the WooRao Restaurant features nearly 30 specialties, incorporating local aboriginal ingredients such as Ailanthus prickly ash, litsea cubeba, pigeon pea, and roxburghiana wood.
The dishes preserve the cooking method of the Atayal charcoal cooking and smoking techniques, combining with the French stewing module.
We hope to bring our guests a rich feast.

“Shh, walk quietly later and signal when you find prey.” The hunters form a team and search for prey in an orderly manner using the white light from their headlamps. 

Starting with the mountain entry ceremony, with a reverent heart, follow the hunter guide into the hunting trail and search for the prey’s tracks, listening to the heroic stories of our ancestors who hunted and survived in the mountains. Through guided tours and on-site visits, explore the Atayal hunter’s hunting culture and learn to coexist with nature while maintaining a grateful heart towards the heavens and earth.

  • Our campsite is booked by reservation. We apologize for there may not be any tents available if you come at short notice.
  • Arrival time: 14:30, check-in time: 16:00, Check-out time: 11:00, departure time: 12:00

    • Afternoon tea time: 14:30-16:00
    • Local handicraft time: 15:00 (about 1 hour, no waiting for late comers)
    • Dinner: 18:00-19:30 (Second intake will be opened depending on the number of guests on the day)
    • Evening campfire: 19:30-21:30 (cancel if it rains)
    • Breakfast time: 08:00-09:30
  • Bath towels are provided, to be environmental friendly and support green tourism, we do not provide disposable toiletries (eg. toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.).

  • If the number of guests exceeds the number of reservations, WooRao will not be able to provide our services.
  • Electronic blanket/bed/matress, dehumidifier, and fan are provided in the tent (provided in winter season from October to April). Please do not bring your own electrical appliances, which may cause the risk of power disconnection.
  • To protect the mountain, the use of fires, such as barbecue, are not allowed.
  • There is no pet-friendly area, so no pets are allowed (guide dogs are not a part of this rule).
  • It is cooler in the morning and evening in the mountain, and there will be mosquitos. Please remember to bring warm clothes.
  • Zip the tent cafully because monkeys are around. If you see monkeys in the mountain, please do not make loud noises so you do not scare the monkeys. And please do not feed the wild animals.
  • Because WooRao is located in a rural area, garbage collection and disposal are difficult, and we provides catering services, it is not recommended to bring in outside food. If more garbage is brought in with outside food, a corresponding amount of cleaning fee will be charged
  • Cancellation on the day of check-in, 100% no refund of your payment.
  • Cancellation before one day of your arrival date, only 20% of your payment will be refunded.
  • Cancellation before 2-3 days of your arrival date, only 30% of your payment will be refunded.
  • Cancellation before 4-6 days of your arrival date, only 40% of your payment will be refunded.
  • Cancellation before 7-9 days of your arrival date 50% of the payment will be deducted
  • Cancellation before 10 days of the arrival date (including the 10th days) 100% your payment will be refunded.
  • Postponement is considered as cancellation and will be handled according to the cancellation policy.
  • Please note: If there is a refund, there is a bank administration fee $30 to be charged, and it takes 7-10 working days excluding holidays.

  • Notify During Reservation: Guests bringing pets must inform us during the reservation process and ensure pets do not enter non-pet-friendly areas to respect the rights of other guests.
  • Vaccination Requirement: Pets must be vaccinated for rabies prior to check-in. Please present a rabies vaccination certificate or tag at check-in.
  • Bathing and Flea Treatment: Pets must be bathed and treated for fleas before arrival.
  • Pet Limitations:
    • Tent Area: No breed restrictions, up to 3 pets allowed.
    • Camper Van: Limited to 3 small or medium-sized dogs due to space constraints; for large dogs, only one is recommended.
    • Breed Definitions: Large dogs: Over 23kg. Medium dogs: 9-23kg. Small dogs: Under 9kg.
  • Age and Health: Pets must be over 6 months old. For senior pets, owners should monitor their health closely.
  • Cleaning Fee: A daily cleaning fee of 500 TWD per pet applies (1,000 TWD for 2 pets, 1,500 TWD for 3 pets).
  • Leash and Containment: Pets must be kept on a leash, in a stroller, or in a carrier while in the campground.
  • Deposit: A 2,000 TWD cash deposit is required at check-in and will be refunded upon verifying the condition of the tent or camper van at check-out.
  • In-Tent Etiquette:
    • Male pets must wear belly bands and females must wear diapers when inside the tent or camper van.
    • Pets are not allowed on bedding.
  • Cleanliness: Wipe pets’ paws before entering the accommodation. Do not blow-dry or groom pets indoors. Bathing pets is not allowed in the campground, but a simple foot-washing area is provided.
  • Behavior Management:If a pet exhibits aggressive behavior or continuous barking and cannot be controlled, we reserve the right to refuse service without a refund.
  • Waste Cleanup: Owners must clean up any waste left by pets in the campground, rooms, or bathrooms to maintain a comfortable environment for other guests.
  • Supervision: Pets must not be left alone inside tents or camper vans.
  • Dining Rules:A designated pet-friendly dining area is available where pets can stay leashed.Pets are not allowed indoors during meal times.Do not use restaurant utensils to feed pets, and do not give human food to pets as it may not be suitable.
  • Liability:
    • Owners are fully responsible for their pets’ behavior. If pets cause injuries, damage property, or violate these policies, owners must bear the associated costs.
    • In case of pet fights or injuries involving other guests or pets, owners are responsible for resolving the matter and covering related expenses.
  • Violation Penalty: A fine of 5,000 TWD will be imposed for violations of the above rules.
  • Restricted Breeds: The following breeds are not permitted: Pit Bull, Tibetan Mastiff, Bullmastiff, Doberman, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Tosa, Neapolitan Mastiff, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, or any pets exhibiting aggressive behavior.

    Take National Highway 1 → 95A Hsinchu exit and change to Tai Route 68 → go to Tai Route 3 on Zhongfeng Road → continue on County Road 122 to the destination 50.4 km → drive to the right on Ailan Liaison Road for 3 km and arrive
  • Travel to south
    Take National Highway 3 (90-Julin) and get off the interchange toward Ligung-Lin→turn to Tai Route 68→take Chungfeng Road to Tai Route 3→continue on County Road 122 to the destination 50.4 km→take the Ailan Liaison Road and drive on the right side of the road for 3 km and arrive
